Being an ICT student would mean only one thing – that is you should be good or at least skillful in computer. It does not technically mean that you should be a genius on it but at least having well aware of the basics would play you all along.
Well, seriously, what I learned from experience isn’t all about those fancy monitor displays or the tricky keys on the keyboard or the high-end processors you got on what it seemed an adage on the computing, say, “Intel Inside”? What does that mean anyway? I got this AMD, Acer, HP or Apple thing but being too attached to those brands really doesn’t have to do with ICT, I mean on the person’s side. In my own perspectives, being an ICT student takes more than just courage to explore you inner-self, it is more on finding yourself among the broad aspect of information and communication technology. If you want to learn, you should learn by heart because everything now is not just a luxury anymore but a necessity. ICT is necessary to speed up our docile lives, to hasten everything in an almost real-time basis. Do this now and technically, you have the reply in an instant. A good example is the text messaging, send a GM to your friends and eventually, you got more comment than you are expecting, and hey – almost simultaneously. Take it from, I almost have my inbox full at an instant!
Kidding aside, it takes not just courage to explore, interest to learn and some adjustments to enjoy ICT . Being a good student in ICT doesn’t just depend on the teacher’s guidance or inputs but on our day by day experience with the hooks and loops of ICT. It takes a great interest and love of ICT technology to become one with ICT.
