CHEMERGY: Chemistry and Science Clubbing in Synergy

If your idea or first impression of the theme, is the combination of  Chemistry with Science, well that would be a little bit odd or should I say out of line. This is because Chemistry is part of Science or simply, Science embodies Chemistry. It is part of a whole thus, to mean Chemistry is to merge  with Science is something totally unacceptable. To start with, by definition, CHEMISTRY is the science of matter, especially its properties, structure, composition, behavior, reactions, interactions and the changes it undergoes. So Chemistry is already a Science and thus, cannot be termed separately. So, to infer the above idea is totally wrong.

Everything in this world, as far as human knowledge is concerned, changes in a way or behaves in way accordingly either with or without external factor. Life itself is a wonderful science of chemistry and this perhaps clarified one thought.

Now, for Chemistry and Science clubbing to work in unison, well, this has a different connotation. The word chemergy, I suppose, is obviously derived from the words 'chemistry' and 'synergy'. So it would clearly mean that 'chemistry at work in unison with science clubs' or rather organizations integrated with the same focus - and that is on the field of chemistry. Science clubs are formed according to different fields and line of interest. In Chemistry, Chemistry clubs are organized to behave as one in unison to the interest of Chemistry itself and this goes true to other clubs.

So what is chemergy is all about then? I could tell simply that it is a unison of organization having the same focus on chemistry.

My Teachers, I Thank You!

I am reminded of an old saying, “without hard work, nothing grows but weeds”. I should say, this saying is more applicable to farmers where they grow rice in the fields and if not properly tended, weeds would overcome them, well literally. But the saying goes well in personal development. Without proper training and education, nothing is ever learned. And if farmers are to plants, then pupils are to teachers. Yes, teachers work so hard that no ‘weed’ would ever dwindle amongst us youth.

I consider teachers one of the greatest farmers of men ever. They cultivate every aspect of men and develop them until no ‘weed’ could ever grow amongst their midst. They enlighten every student in every way and help them develop a better future. They are not only selfless givers but also the mentors of our lives. Many times, we feel like thanking our teachers but we do not find the proper occasion. So this teachers’ day, I would like to thank our dear teachers for guiding us, inspiring us and molding us of what we are today. I may not say it always, but deep in my heart, I mean it always.

I am very grateful God created teachers, because of them we are assured  of a better future. To my dear teachers, you have been more than mentors to us, but guiding lights, philosophers and best of friends! Wherever I may go in my life, I will always remember that in this journey my roads would have been rougher without  my teachers.
